Happy Birthday – FashionABLE is Three Years Old!

Good morning!

It’s a beautifully crisp fall morning here in Nashville, and there’s a special something I’d like to share with you today to help you keep warm on these lovely fall days!

As you know, I’ve been involved with fashionABLE for a few years now. I interned with Mocha Club in 2010 as fashionABLE was prepping to launch and have volunteered with them ever since I moved back to Nashville and it’s always such a joy.After meeting the women in Ethiopia behind fashionABLE, it’s amazing to see how the organization has grown.

In case you haven’t heard of fashionABLE, they help to create sustainable business and jobs for women in Ethiopia. Your purchase of a scarf helps to empower women in Ethiopia as they make these scarves and give them new choices. There are many women working for fashionABLE and you can read each of their beautiful stories here.  What’s so amazing, is fashionABLE’s original partnership has grown from 3 to 30 women who hand-weave these scarves! FashionABLEʼs extended mission is to fight poverty by keeping the manufacturing in Africa.

Each scarf is named after one of the beautiful women who weaves them and they each come with a signed tag with a little insight to their story.   I’m personally LOVING the new Eden Scarf! 

I posted the photos I took of their fall collection and wanted to share them again today, as fashionABLE is celebrating their 3rd birthday! And, what better way to celebrate than with a 30% off sale for 3 years! My hubby, Jeremy actually just bought the leather wallet this morning, as their leather line is a new part of the organization.
