I met Tausha shortly after moving to Nashville a few years ago. We had the opportunity to shoot some weddings together, and we’ve traded off shooting + second shooting for each other ever since. I’d always heard about Tommy and had the opportunity to meet him last year before she and I packed up to shoot a wedding in Chattanooga. He was as kind and sweet-natured as she always described and I loved talking with her about if she thought they’d get married, etc, etc.
Well the time came last year when Tommy got down on one knee and asked the lovely Tausha to be his bride. And oh, they are just so precious together, I can hardly stand it. Tausha is go-getter full of spunk and incredibly in love with Tommy and Tommy looks at her in the way every girl dreams of. When Tausha + Tommy asked me to be their photographer earlier this year, I was so honored! She’s a photographer herself, so to be chosen by another photographer is quite an amazing feeling!
I loved hearing all about the wedding details as they all came together. Along with wedding planning, they both had full-time jobs along with side jobs along with building + buying a home. These two had so very much on their plate and smiled all through it. Happiness was always apparent and I just loved their attitude about it all!
What’s even more special, is they closed on their house about a week before their wedding day, so Tausha had the opportunity to get dressed + ready in their new home the morning of their wedding! What a memory to have! I hung her dress on their first home’s front door and she took her first bridal portraits on the steps of their new home…what a beautiful story. And, sweet + beautiful Tausha waited until she was completely dressed and done up before she looked in the mirror with her gown on…be sure you don’t miss her sweet reaction below! And well, get ready for some tears with their first look as well. They wrote personal vows to recite in private in lieu of public vows during the ceremony. Their love is just overwhelming and their day was a day of pure celebration.
Tommy + Tausha, thank you so incredibly much for inviting me to be a part of your beautiful wedding day! It was an honor and I am so incredibly happy for you two–many blessings on you both and your marriage!
