Our New Camera: Shooting Personal Work

February 12, 2014

Good morning!

Jeremy and I recently got the Fuji X-E1 camera and I’ve been carrying it around for the past week to shoot whatever I find. Nothing fancy or earth-shattering, but just shooting whatever I see.

We got the camera this past Christmas, as Jeremy would love to learn the ins and outs of shooting manually, so this was a great starter camera for him to learn. But, it’s also super easy to use, so we also got it to use on trips so that we can both prove that we were there. Until now, it’s been me + my big camera taking all the photos, which in turn tells the story that Jeremy’s taken a lot of trips by himself since there are hardly any photos of me on those trips.

Last but not least, we got this camera so that I can start exploring street photography and having an easy camera to tote around for personal work. One camera, multiple possibilities.

There’s a bit of a learning curve for me on this camera, so I’m still figuring out how I like to use it, etc. I decided to tote it around this past week to, and here are a few randoms from my outings. I can’t wait to really learn the good groove of this camera and take it on our many travels this year!
