Chad + Rachel: Fredericksburg Wedding at The Old Silk Mill

You may remember Chad + Rachel from their beautiful Georgetown engagement session. These two were actually my roommates in college. They swore up and down for years that they’d never date and they didn’t like each other. All of our friends thought otherwise but we didn’t question and just accepted that they would remain friends. And it remained that way throughout college, but soon after we graduated, these two started dating — it was a shocker but all the same no surprise at all.

It was so fun anticipating their wedding day and I’m so honored they chose me to photograph their wedding day. It was a beautiful, sunny day with the perfect temperature. Just warm enough with a slight breeze. The skies were bright blue and it was beautiful summer afternoon. Both Chad + Rachel were both so joyful and so relaxed until the nervous excitement set in as the ceremony approached. Their ceremony at Stevenson Ridge was short and sweet followed by a lively reception at the Inn at The Old Silk Mill. The dance floor was rarely empty…it was room full of love and energy the entire night. To see these two marry was such a joy and to be the one to document it all was a beautiful gift.
