Ā I met these two in the dark hours of the morning, but they were already so full of life and excited to have me in town. The truth is,Ā I’m not sure who was more excited, me or Ben & Nancy! We hadn’t had the opportunity to meet just yet, as I was still in Nashville and they lived in DC. We arranged to do their engagement session the week before Jeremy and I headed off on #TheCherryTrek and it was more beautiful of a morning than I could have hoped! The sun rose so softly over DC and the weather was more like mid-April than March. So much of their story revolved around DC, so it was only appropriate to showcase their story in a city that meant so much to them. Ben was nothing less than dapper and Nancy stunned with her classy floral skirt – and those heels! Is there anything better than an amazing pair of shoes? (I’m obsessed.)
We started at the Lincoln Memorial and made our way back to their neighborhood withĀ a few stops along the way. It truly was a beautiful, beautiful morning with these two. They’ll be marrying in upstate New York and I can’t wait for their late fall wedding! Sneak peek? It involves a beautiful church and the lake house Nancy grew up going to. They’ve truly put their heart and soul into planning a wedding full of meaning and celebration with the dear ones they love. What Ā a day it will be!

Looks like it was such a fun morning. A great set of photos. It would be difficult to pick a favorite; but the one with the sun coming off the reflecting pool in front of the Washington monument is quite striking.
