Todd Thomas: Heirloom Box

One of the parts of my work that I treasure most is seeing stories come to life in print. Over the past year, I’ve had the joy of working with countless families who’ve had me along to document their sweet children grow over the course of months and it has been such a dear set of stories to tell.

One of those sweet little babies was Todd Norwood. I met Leanna and her husband through Paramore, where Jeremy worked in Nashville. Leanna is the sweetest southern gal you’ll meet with a thick southern accent and an affinity for all things Drake and Rihanna.

Her husband is one of those southern gentleman that doesn’t know a stranger, so it only makes sense that their sweet boy would be so full of life. Over the course of a year, I photographed his newborn session, 6 months session and finally his one-year session. His big eyes got browner and his hair got curlier. Look out, world.

Some families choose to showcase their baby’s first year in an Heirloom Book, and some choose to do so with an Heirloom Box – either way, their stories are told, printed and passed down. What a beautiful thing.
