Welcome to the world, Elsie.

Watching your friends marry is always a joyous occasion. Watching your friends become parents? It’s really something you can’t even explain.

Phil (Elsie’s dad) has been Jeremy’s best friend since middle school….when they were both the same height, which is quite hilarious now. Though they are the closest of friends, they are different in more ways than you can count. But, I have to say, those differences have never stopped that brotherly love. They truly are more brothers than friends, and it’s something I’m so grateful for. Phil was by Jeremy’s side as he said “I Do” to me, and Jeremy was by Phil’s side on the day he married the beautiful blonde you’re about to see, Heidi. They are a perfect team, and have both been beaming from ear to ear since the day they found out they were expecting. And now that Miss Elsie is officially here, well, the joy and smiles have only grown.

I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to not only meet Elsie the day she came home from the hospital, but also photograph her with her amazing parents in her first few days of life. It’s something that wouldn’t have been possible a year ago, as all four of us were living outside of Virginia. But now, we’ve all moved within an hour of each other and my, what a blessing it’s been.

Elsie, you have no idea how what you’ve been born into….a family that will love you fiercely and cheer you on endlessly. And not just a family that’s held together through blood…a family that’s sewn together by love. I can’t wait to watch you grow, sweet little one.
