Charlottesville, VA Spring Mini Sessions

If you’ve been following along for some time, and if you’re signed up for my monthly newsletter, then you probably know that my fall minis are super popular and sell out fast. You guys are amazing and never cease to amaze me!

Though fall mini sessions get all the credit, spring minis are actually some of my favorite sessions of the year. The energy of spring is like no other – we are all so ready for lush greens, sunshine, beautiful blooms and more outside time in every kind of way.

I’ll be announcing my spring mini sessions via my email list soon, but before I do, I wanted to answer some FAQ and share a little recap of some spring mini sessions in years past!

What exactly is a mini session?

My mini sessions are 20 minute photo sessions that are designed in a way to give you timeless, gorgeous family portraits in a relaxed and easy way! Sometimes you’re in a season where a mini session is the perfect amount of time, or you want to document an in-between milestone.

Where do sessions take place?

In years past, I’ve hosted spring minis at different locations in the Charlottesville area. Sometimes at Boar’s Head, or on the east side of town. I’m always thinking about your experience when it comes to locations, so I aim to pick spots that have easy parking, an easy to navigate meeting spot, a place central in Charlottesville, and a spot that offers a clean and beautiful background!

What happens if it rains?

I always pre-schedule a rain date, especially in the spring! It’s usually in the same weekend so you don’t have to block off two very different dates. With that said, if both dates get rained out, I find a way to make reschedules work for families!

Can I include extended family or family pets?

Since mini sessions are so short and sweet, they are for immediate family only. If you’d like to include grandparents or your pets, let’s dream up a Signature Session that fits your vision!

How do I book?

These sessions typically book quickly, and I only announce them via my email list. To be in the know, make sure you’re on my email list and I’ll send out reminder emails and all the info when it’s time to book!
