Charlottesville Motherhood Mini Sessions Recap

For years, I’ve been wanting to find a way to give back to local mamas while also supporting the Charlottesville & Richmond mamas I get to work with year in and year out.

In 2024, I finally made it happen and I’m officially obsessed! Last year, I hosted Motherhood Minis to celebrate my clients around Mother’s Day while also hosting a diaper drive for Stepping Stone. I had a limited number of spots available, but I was able to document 12 amazing mothers and their gorgeous children. Sessions were short and sweet, but it was a chance to celebrate each mama with a beautiful portrait of her and her children.

I failed to count the number of boxes of diapers we donated to Stepping Stone in Charlottesville, but you can see this reel that shows a little recap of our donations.

Beyond the joy of getting to collaborate with moms to help other local mamas, I love the simplicity of these sessions. So often, moms are the one behind the camera and it’s so hard to get photos of you with your kiddos. These sessions are less than 10 minutes, with a simple background so that we can really focus on you, your beautiful babies and the amazing dynamic between you. A perfect way to celebrate and savor your favorite people in honor of Mother’s Day!
