A Surprise Proposal: Adam + Jane

Lifestyle

I met with Adam a few months ago through a mutual friend and it was so fun to hear this grand plan he had to propose to his girlfriend, Jane.

The plan was for March 8th in the spot he first saw her…they didn’t end up meeting in this spot, but he remembered first seeing her on the riverfront. He wanted to propose in that same spot. It was his birthday weekend, so he planned to pick her up for dinner and take a detour to ask her to marry him and he wanted to have a photographer there to capture it all.

The plan continued though. He would tell her they were having dinner with his parents since it was his birthday weekend, and they would have dinner after the proposal, but what she didn’t know was that her parents and siblings would join as well. She also thought I wouldn’t be there to capture it.

But just wait, that wasn’t the final surprise either. After dinner that evening, he planned to meet some of their closest friends at Tavern in Midtown.

It was a 3-part surprise he had been anticipating for months and it played out so beautifully and so full of joy. The expressions on her face as he got on one knee…the moment she saw her mother was in town to celebrate with her…the moment when she had close girlfriends surprise her…it was all just so beautiful.

I was so honored to be a part in documenting this once-in-a-lifetime moment. It’s such a joy to see love play out in such beautiful ways. It’s why I do what I do!

Congratulations Adam + Jane! Many blessings to you two and your marriage! Thank you for letting me be a tiny part of this wonderful day.
