Chris + Anna: Fredericksburg, VA Surnise Engagement

Good morning, friends!

This morning I am so excited to share Chris + Anna’s sunrise engagement session. The lighting the morning of their session was absolutely breathtaking! Being that I grew up in VA, I’m always eager to photograph weddings in Virginia and I’m thankful Chris + Anna chose me to photograph their June wedding at Stevenson Ridge. I met Chris at JMU and though I didn’t personally meet Anna while at JMU, I had heard about her through mutual friends, and boy is she a gem. Anna, you are gorgeous and so very sweet + genuine!

These two were such troopers to meet me so early a couple weeks ago. I was in town for my best friend’s wedding and sunrise was about the only time we could coordinate with our schedules and I’m so glad it ended up working out that way. They arranged to have their engagement session at Gari Melchers Home + Studio at Belmont in Fredericksburg. The grounds were gorgeous and a beautiful background for a sunrise session. Then, we headed to downtown Fredericksburg to finish up the session. Also, you’ll see a pretty little bench they are seated on towards the end of the session — Chris made that bench for the proposal and engraved their initials + engagement date into the rails of the bench. It was a sweet little addition to their session!
