It’s no secret that I love a good hair/makeup tutorial and it’s definitely no secret that I absolutely adore Amy Lynn Larwig. Amy Lynn is a phenomenal Hair + MUA in Nashville and I can’t rave enough about her. She flew to Virginia for my wedding and I felt better than ever on my wedding day. I have crazy curls and this girl works magic.

With that said, we wanted to get together for a fun shoot + tutorial for our brides! This is just Part I of a series. We will be sharing the hairstyle to complement this makeup DIY as well as a rehearsal dinner look for all you brides out there. Be sure to check back to see all of these fun tutorials!

Tips from the wonderful Amy Lynn:

Not all of us feel our most confident going out bare faced. Even on the beach. The salt air and sunshine can do wonders for your skin though, so there’s no need to pile on the makeup and miss out on the cleansing opportunities the ocean offers. Or worse, have that makeup streak its way down your cheeks after 30 minutes in the heat. Here’s how to add a little pop to your look, while still embracing the tropical vibes. This look will also take you from the sand straight to a romantic dinner, no problem.

Step 1: Apply a tinted moisturizer with SPF all over your face.

Step 2: Apply waterproof mascara on your top and bottom lashes. This gives your eyes some twinkle but will stay put through heat and swimming.www.amynicolephoto.com/blog

Step 3: Put a tiny dab of cream cheek color on your apples.www.amynicolephoto.com/blog

Step 4: Pat, pat, pat. Pat it out in a circular motions, making sure to blend the edges into your skin.www.amynicolephoto.com/blog

Step 5: Apply a tinted balm. It will protect your lips from the salty air and give you a whisper of color.www.amynicolephoto.com/blog

Step 6: Catch some rays.www.amynicolephoto.com/blog www.amynicolephoto.com/blog
