How do you even begin to photograph travels to a city of so many stories?
It’s a story of immense wealth, fame and fortune. It’s a city of the hurting and the lonely. It’s a city of big dreams and a city incorporating parts of the entire world. It’s an internationally known city of dreams. It’s full of great food, beautiful colors and bright lights. It’s a culture unlike any other place in America, much less the world. I so hope I get the chance one day to sit on a street corner and just document the walks of life I see. But, with a whirlwind weekend, I just wanted to document the things we did and the sights we saw.
Poor Jeremy helped carry my incredibly heavy camera bag full of film and you name it. I of course carried it most of the time, but it gets a bit tricky to juggle cameras, a coat, a bag and not getting trampled. Here’s a glimpse into our trip to New York City last month. We are so incredibly grateful, as the amazing Kate + Mark (who got married this past March) offered up their home, time and guidance. We loved every minute we spent with them and we loved just getting the chance to explore the city without one plan or to-do on the calendar. Some find the city exhausting, but we found it absolutely exhilarating.

I take a limited number of sessions each month (plus, I’m a bit of a planner and always account for possible weather and sick days!) I’d love to set up a time to chat with you, hear your vision and answer any questions!
