When I think of southern charm, I think of the Dellinger family. I’ve known Kelly for a few years now, and we became fast friends after meeting through the wedding industry. She’s always been the epitome of a Southern woman, and her husband, Drew, fits the role of a dear Southern gentleman.
They had me photograph their firstborn, Lilly, throughout her first year of life. ( Newborn // 6 Months // One Year) You can see her sweet first-year heirloom book here! Now,they’ve officially welcomed Miss Julianna Cate into the world! Anna Cate is quite the spitting image of her father, but as I’ve seen more recent pictures, she’s growing into the perfect little combination of them both.
One thing you’ll know about Kelly from the first time you meet her is that she adores all things Lilly Pulitzer. She’s always dressed to the nines and most of the time, it’s going to includes some type of Lilly Pulitzer. Well, we found out that we’d be vacationing in Charleston at the same time, so we of course had to set up a session to document this sweet time as a new family of four. And of course, the girls wore their Lilly Pulitzer with pride as we explored the streets of Charleston. What better city to dawn Lilly?
The last time I photographed Kelly in Charleston was for her maternity shoot with Lilly, in between our styled shoot at Legare Waring House. This time, we explored the waterfront area and I was so thankful to have some time to photograph this sweet family in their favorite city!
