Modern Garden Wedding at Market at Grelen: Emmarie & Hugo

July 18, 2018

On a lovely day in May, Emmarie & Hugo married in the sweetest intimate ceremony at The Market at Grelen. I didn’t get the chance to meet these two before their wedding day, because funny enough, I first talked with Emmarie the day Eisley was born! (No, I wasn’t in labor, I actually didn’t go into labor until later that night!)

What I remember about that first phone call though was Emmarie’s gentle spirit. Her kindness was contagious, and on their wedding day, that gentle kindness remained so evident. Hugo had recently proposed on January 1 of this year, in Hawaii. Um, yes, please! Emmarie shared that in their 9 years of dating, they had been long-distance for 5 of them, and due to Hugo’s current work commitment overseas, they are still long distance for the time being. In addition, Emmarie graduated medical school the day before their wedding – how amazing! What a full & beautiful year for them.

So, needless to say, their wedding day was a sweet celebration that was well anticipated. They wed on a Monday afternoon with their closest friends and family and dined outdoors for an intimate dinner with their loved ones. The absolute best kind of simple. Good friends & family, great views, good food and so much to celebrate!

Emmarie & Hugo, thank you so much for trusting me and choosing me to document your wedding day. It was an honor and joy!
