Fall Maternity and Family Photos at James Monroe Highland in Charlottesville, VA

 

Imagine the perfect fall morning – warm sunshine, a tiny bit of crisp in the air, the leaves ever so golden and colorful. That was the type of Charlottesville. morning I had with this family as we gathered to celebrate their season of anticipation awaiting their baby girl.

We planned for a morning session, as James Monroe Highland allows photo sessions during business hours and they close by 4:30pm….and well, we all know kids seem to have more fresh energy in the morning. It was one of those sessions that just felt so easy and fun! The kids were eager to just have fun and play, and they were full of sweet, joyful. energy. Plus, they were so excited to celebrate that they were welcoming another sweet sibling into their family.

I love when maternity sessions blend to become family sessions, because it’s always so sweet to see the different dynamics between family members. Plus, it’s such a great time to document the season of life your family is in before welcoming your newest member – a way to celebrate and document this time of life before it all changes again! It’s also a great way to connect with your kiddos as they enter a new season of their own childhood.
