…time and too much don’t belong together like we do,
if I had all my yesterdays I’d give ’em to you too,
I belong to you now,
I belong to you.
The sun shone through the full branches along the enclosed path where they would marry. Arches reminiscent of a timeless church stood centered where they’d exchange their vows, and friends + family gathered so fully from many places. It was a day anticipated for months, and a day of celebration in truly countless ways.
I’d known Abby since the year we moved to Nashville. She happened to attend the same small group intensive as Jeremy + I did in the fall of 2011 for Midtown Fellowship. After the intensive, the large group split into smaller groups and we ended up in the same group as Abby’s. Four years later, our small group has walked through so much together and been there for each other in ways I couldn’t have imagined from those first few weeks together. Losses, marriages, break-ups, engagements, a sweet little baby, health scares and health triumphs.
From the moment Abby introduced Ryan to us, I was secretly hoping he’d be the man she’d marry. And I think everyone else felt the same way. Ryan is the best kind of southern gentlemen and looks at Abby in a way that every woman hopes to be cherished. Then, the two together, well….this post just really isn’t long enough for me to describe the ways they bring light to those around them.
Ryan and Abby have already been through so much before the day they married, and the way they’ve loved each other through each season has been more than a testament to those around them. I can only imagine how the Lord will use these two in the days and years to come, and it truly was an incredible blessing to photograph the day they became man and wife.
Ryan + Abby, congratulations to you two. We are so thankful to call you friends!
