Meghan & Dan: Downtown Richmond Engagement

Oh, it’s simply a small world. Meghan reached out to me after seeing my sweet friend, Brandy’s wedding. I grew up in the Richmond area of Virginia, so I shoot many weddings in Virginia each year in addition to other weddings outside of Nashville. When I saw that Meghan would be getting married in Richmond, I was so excited to have the opportunity to head back to Virginia.

On our first phone call, Meghan was sharing more details about how she met Dan, her work, their story, etc, and come to find out, we graduated from the same high school just a few years apart. It also happens to be the same school she used to work at and where her fiance, Dan, currently works. Finding fun connections like that with my couples is always a treat!

Since I was headed to Virginia for Christmas, we planned their engagement session for when I would be in town and we met in downtown Richmond at Libby Hill Park. Growing up so close to Richmond, it’s actually surprising how much of Richmond I hadn’t seen (or at least seen in such a long time).

I adored the sweet homes that lined the Church Hill neighborhood and Libby Hill Park was gorgeous in itself. We explored the neighborhood for their session, and thankfully, it was oddly warm for December!

These two will marry at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, and I can’t wait to document their beautiful day in June! Congratulations, you two!
