A Modern Greenhouse Wedding at The Market at Grelen: Katy & Kevin

When your rain plan is a greenhouse, I’d say you’ve got quite the unique location for your ceremony.

Katy & Kevin’s wedding day called for rain all day, but the forecast kept changing as we all closely watched the radar. Since Katy & Kevin had the amazing Market at Grelen team and Alana on her side, they were able to make a last minute call for the ceremony. As I arrived, we had a bout of sideways rain, but the rest of the day was just a mix of light showers on and off. So, thankfully, we were able to move indoors and out for different sets of photos throughout the day. Katy & Kevin handled the rain threats so well and they didn’t let it put a damper on the day they had looked forward to for so long!

Katy adored the pergola at The Market at Grelen, so I always knew that was a photograph we had to make, and thankfully, the skies parted enough for us to get a gorgeous shot with the amazing wisteria!

The rain seemed to be on its way around the time of the ceremony, so they made the call to host their ceremony in the greenhouse and it was simply beautiful! They had lush flowers and greenery as their backdrop and I just love how sweet of a location it ended up being for their guests. Their officiant also made sure to throw in a note about how greenhouses are where things grow, which was such a unique place to start off your marriage…. in a place of lush life and growth!
