Summer Elopement at Early Mountain Vineyards: Heather & Dash

On a clear summer day, I met Heather and Dash as they got ready together at the cottage at Early Mountain in Charlottesville. Long before the pandemic became a part of life, Heather & Dash planned a small elopement ceremony alongside their fur babies. Boy, were they ahead of the curve.

As time marched on, their May elopement got pushed back and we finally celebrated their marriage in July! With two dear friends, their two dear dogs and their officiant, they said “I do.”

I’ve always adored small celebrations and the natural pace that accompanies them. They give way to truly being present and soaking in time with the ones you love most.⁠ The tender moments of Dash zipping Heather’s dress…the pure radiant joy as they officially became husband and wife…the slow time for portraits and to simply soak it in…time to spend with their closest friends, and most importantly…each other.

It was an unhurried day full of time, love, and joy. Heather & Dash, thank you for inviting me alongside you to celebrate!
