Charlottesville Lifestyle Family Photos by the River

Each year, Elisa and I collaborate on her family photos and she simply comes up with the best ideas year after year. We’ve done everything from at-home sessions in pjs, a backyard session, a session at a nearby park, and this year, we headed to a a spot that has become of a favorite of theirs during quarantine. Playing in a river for your family photos? That’s one quick way to get everyone on board!

My best tip when choosing a location is always to choose a place that has meaning to you and your family, whatever that may be. Whether it’s your home, your neighborhood, a favorite hiking spot, a place you always visit together…the options can be endless. You can make magic in the most unassuming of places, so don’t be afraid to throw out ideas!
