Genuine & Vibrant Family Photos at Home in Crozet, VA

Getting ready for your family photos can be stressful…well, really, trying to get your family ready for anything can be stressful if I’m being honest. With toddler opinions, dirty diapers, accidents, stains on clothes, hangry kiddos, the obstacles can add up! This year, the Davis family was perfectly ready on time and ready to go, and within moments, their sweet little man needed a band-aid. And you know what? They rolled with it.

I’m sure it wasn’t easy to make the call to have a band-aid join the photos, and I’m sure it added a tad of stress (though mom & dad kept it totally under wraps if they were stressed!), but that one call set the tone for the session…to be themselves and to enjoy each other, no matter what was thrown their way.

And guys, that is the absolute. best. advice. I can give to you for your family session: Roll with it and enjoy your family.

If you want to know the truth, almost every session involves a meltdown, a hungry baby,  a tantrum, you name it. That’s just part of family. And the more you fight against it, the harder it will be. The more you lean into it, the more fun you will have…and guess what?  It totally shows in your photos.

So, thank you Britt & Jared for the sweet reminder to enjoy your family. To love them fully & to embrace every part of your family. It shows, and I’m honored I get to witness your family in the very best way each year!
