Charlottesville Motherhood Minis 2021: Simple, Vibrant & Modern

Last week I shared Mallory’s maternity session featuring this backdrop I hand-painted, and after using it for her session, I couldn’t help but use it for my first year of Motherhood Minis!

Motherhood minis are a series of mini sessions I’ve wanted to offer for years, and after planning some out last March with covid cancelling those plans, I was eager to offer them this year – and I’m so grateful to say they sold out! I offered a select number of sessions and I was so grateful to document such amazing mamas and their sweet kiddos.

The goal was to create sweet, simple and vibrant portraits with the focus being on mama and her beautiful children. I just love how each session had a different feel, as each mama made it their own along with some varying light throughout the sessions. Watching moms with their children and seeing kids love on their mama is an honor in itself.

I also invited my own beautiful mom up for some portraits of her with my daughter, Eisley so she could have gorgeous portraits with her granddaughter, and they will be photos I’ll always treasure.

A HUGE thank-you to each and every amazing mama who came out this year! It was a treat to document you and your babies (even if they are far from babies!) and an inspiration to watch each of you savor your children. Grateful just doesn’t describe it!
