2022 in Review – 10 Years in Business: Charlottesville Family & Newborn Photographer

2022 marked 10 years for my business. A milestone that slipped away as I embraced our newest daughter. It’s funny how everything fades away in the face of new life and that abundant love that overshadows it all.

Yet, 10 years is quite the milestone for my business. Ten years of amazing clients and doing this work I love, and over 15 years with a camera constantly in my hand. From my start in Nashville, to my move  & restart here in Charlottesville, and then a pivot from weddings & families to family photography, my business has seen a lot of change in 10 years.

But one thing hasn’t changed…I get to do this work I love because of my amazing clients like YOU who choose me to document the most sacred of milestones and seasons. It’s a joy, and an honor. I’m so very grateful when I think of the hands my photos will land in as the years beat on. That’s the thing about photography…it freezes your “now” but photographs only increase in value. When we celebrate anniversaries and birthdays and all the ordinary in-between, we enjoy photographs that help us bring it all back to mind, even just for a moment.

As I plan for this year, I wanted to pause and share just a very small snippet into my 10th year in business. Choosing favorites is nearly impossible, and I can even choose a favorite from every session, or this blog post would get entirely too long! But,  here are a few images that feel true to my vision and that I love from the year. Thank you a million times over to each and every one of you who have chosen to welcome me into your lives!
